Our very own Jakobe Walker has taken out the 2025 young achiever of the year at the Glenelg Shire Business and Tourism awards!
Nominated for his work as World Heritage Ranger in the UNESCO World Heritage listed Budj Bim Cultural Landscape supporting conservation, cultural heritage and community engagement. He plays an active role in environmental monitoring, guided cultural tours and the protection of native species in cultural significant sites. His work contributes meaningfully to Gunditj Mirring’s vision of self-determination, cultural/archaeological preservation and ecological sustainability.
